About the Company

The company is a Series A industrial-software startup building an API-first factory operating system for modern manufacturers. Its customers produce rockets, nuclear reactors, eVTOLs, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and other ambitious physical products.

About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will embed with customer engineering and operations teams to understand how their factories work and build tailored production software on the platform. This role combines hands-on, database-heavy full-stack engineering with direct customer impact.

What You'll Do

Work at customer sites across aerospace, defense, nuclear, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.

Design relational schemas, optimize SQL queries, and build data models for real-time factory operations.

Ship production code using React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python and PostgreSQL on the backend.

Act as the technical point person during customer engagements.

Turn recurring customer needs into improvements for the core product.

What We're Looking For

3–5 years of full-stack software engineering experience with a backend or database lean.

Strong SQL, relational database design, schema design, and data modeling fundamentals.

Experience either building enterprise-facing software or working in a manufacturing environment.

A record of shipping customer-facing production code.

Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers.

U.S. citizenship or Green Card status is required for ITAR compliance. Visa sponsorship is not available.
